Bad Habits that can affect Skin Complexion
February 18, 2016Electrolysis- Best Permanent Treatment for Ingrown Hairs
April 4, 2016Stella is a college girl having electrolysis treatments on her sideburns and eyebrows.
She walks in for her appointment holding a big cup of Starbucks. Of course she thinks that helps her focus and stay alert for her classes.
“I am so ready to relax now –she says and then adds- I love the calming atmosphere of your office! “
However that cup of coffee might disagree- being so young and sensitive, caffeine might make her treatment somewhat uncomfortable.
There is a before electrolysis treatment routine that we advice our clients to follow –and we talked about it – something the clients can do to get the most comfortable and efficient treatment. And of course, it is the skill, knowledge and professionalism of the Electrologist, that can make a difference – that’s why at Hairless we have the best of the best.
However there are a lot of additional factors that can make your treatment a nice, relaxing experience while you are still achieving your goal of permanent hair removal.
Music– Science all but confirms that humans are hard-wired to respond to music. Studies also suggest that someday music may even help patients heal from Parkinson’s disease or a stroke. We all know the music’s power to change the brain and affect the way it works.
It can heal, it can rejuvenate and relax you at the same time, it can make you happy, and that’s why in our Hairless NYC Clinic office we love to have beautiful relaxing music.
Aromatherapy– Scent can strongly affect the mind. Historical use of essential oils dates back to ancient civilizations including the Egyptians, Babylonians, and Greeks, who valued aromatic oils for their fragrance and used them for both religious rituals and medicinal purposes.
Lavender, patchouli, ylang ylang, geranium are some of our favorite ones. We often hear our clients stating that it smells wonderful in our office, or that they were so relaxed they almost fell asleep.
Herbal teas– Studies have found that some teas may help with cancer, heart disease, and diabetes; encourage weight loss; lower cholesterol; and bring about mental alertness. Tea also appears to have antimicrobial qualities.
Our goal here is to relax- hence Chamomille tea. Chamomile is relaxing for the muscles as well as the nervous system as a whole. It helps the entire body relax while also soothing the mind and the emotions. Many people love a warm cup of chamomile herbal tea.
At Hairless NYC Electrolysis Clinic we try to make every little thing count – to achieve the best possible outcome while you feel you are being pampered at the same time.
